How to find your Google Review URL

A 2-minute walkthrough for HVAC shop owners.

Why this matters

Google Reviews are the #1 driver of inbound calls for local HVAC shops. A shop with 50 reviews and a 4.8 rating gets the call over a shop with 10 reviews and a 4.5 rating — every time. Setpoint's Job Follow-Up feature automates the ask. You just need to tell it where to send customers.

Step by step

  1. Find your business on Google

Go to Google and search for your business name plus your city. Example: "Arctic Air HVAC Austin TX." Click on your business listing in the results.

  2. Find the "Write a review" button

On your Google Business listing, look for the "Write a review" button. It's usually on the right side of the search results or in your Google Maps listing. Right-click the button and copy the link.

  3. Shorten the URL (optional but recommended)

Google review links are long and ugly. Use a free URL shortener like bit.ly to make it cleaner. This is optional — the long URL works fine in Setpoint.

  4. Paste it in Settings

Go to Settings → Job Follow-Ups → paste your URL in the "Google Review URL" field → Save.

  5. Verify it works

Click your own review link to confirm it opens the review form. If it does, you're set.

If you don't have a Google Business Profile yet

Google Business Profile is free and takes about 15 minutes to set up. You'll need to verify your business address — Google mails a postcard with a verification code. Once verified, follow the steps above to get your review link.

A Google Business Profile is worth setting up even before you start using Setpoint — it's one of the highest-ROI things a local HVAC shop can do.
